Our most recently completed residential project – a characterful Grade II Listed Coastguards cottage in the heart of St Agnes. We appointed Doyle & Whitely for this sensitive restoration, joinery focussed job. Working closely with the contractor team from the start, we were able to move the application through Listed building consent in a smooth and efficient process and the build was completed within a period of 6 months on site. We re-configured the ground floor areas to create a double aspect open-plan kitchen dining room and a combined Living room/study and re-worked the first-floor layout to give the client a luxurious Master bedroom and Ensuite bathroom, a stunning family bathroom and bespoke joinery throughout. Drawing reference to the building’s heritage and location we reinstated architectural features such as fibrous plaster cornicing, ceiling roses, tongue and groove wall panelling and a coastal palette of ocean blues, contrasted with coral pinks and sunny yellows.
