Zennor Chapel is situated in the tiny hamlet of Zennor; this former Methodist Chapel has been transformed into a world class Dolby Atmos mix room with a very vibey recording studio – it also has the most beautiful bespoke iroko carpentry created by Seven Stones Carpentry.
We were engaged to consult and deliver stage one the Furniture, Fixtures and Fittings within the studio and recording booth as well as design the interior architecture and design of the remaining ground floor, comprising of newly opened kitchen, diner and lounge area, cloak room and boot room.
This includes all furniture and fittings as well as paint and wall finishes, lighting design and rewiring. The clients had a clear vision to bring 70’s cool and mid-century modern to the church and we were able to elevate this brief further by adding some playful story telling features like the “confession booth” dining area and religious iconography within the artworks and fixtures.
